Textbook Information

The required textbook for this course is:

Principles of Environmental Science: Inquiry and Applications. 5th Edition. 2009, by W.P. Cunningham and M.A. Cunningham.

Published by McGraw Hill.

This book is available at the Downtown Campus Bookstore.

If you are using the 4th edition, you will need to check out the 5th edition from the library or the Biology Learning Center for the following chapters because there have been substantial changes from the 4th to 5th edition in these chapters:

• Chapter 8
• Chapter 9
• Chapter 10
• Chapter 12

For all other chapters, you should be OK using the 4th edition because the changes to those chapters were relatively minor.

If you are using the 3rd edition, you will need to check out the 5th edition from the library or the Biology Learning Center for the following chapters because there have been substantial changes from the 3rd to 5th edition in these chapters:

• Chapter 1
• Chapter 4
• Chapter 5
• Chapter 7
• Chapter 8
• Chapter 9
• Chapter 10
• Chapter 12
• Chapter 15

For all other chapters, you should be OK using the 3rd edition because the changes to those chapters were relatively minor.
