Measuring Length and Volume

Congratulations! You are now ready to measure some things for lab points. You will use the following equipment:

• Kit #100
• Kit #29 - graduated cylinder
• meter stick 

Measure the following items:

• length (from top to bottom) of playing card in the kit
• width (from side to side) of playing card in the kit
• height from floor to desktop at your workstation
• volume of water in the bottle

After you measure each item, record the measurements in the correct boxes in the table under Question #7 on your worksheet. (Make sure you record them as the correct unit. For instance, if you measure in cm, be sure to record it as cm! I've seen lots of people make this mistake!) Then convert the measurements to fill in the table.

Then bring your worksheet to the front desk for lab points. BE SURE TO LEAVE THE SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT OUT ON YOUR DESK UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE RECEIVED LAB POINTS!

After you have received lab points, you are ready to continue with Part B of this lab.
